1. Introduction

In compliance with Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSICE), users of the website of the International Journal of Kinanthropometry (IJK) are informed of the following terms and conditions, which are binding. This legal notice was last reviewed in October 2026.

The website hosts the International Journal of Kinanthropometry (E-ISSN 2790-9816), the official journal of ISAK, hereinafter “the journal”.

3. Purpose and acceptance

This legal notice governs the use of the journal’s website, owned by ISAK. Browsing the website makes you a user and implies full acceptance of this legal notice, which may be amended. Users undertake to use the website in accordance with the law, good faith, public order and this legal notice, and will be liable for any damage arising from a breach thereof.

4. Access and use

Access to the website and reading and downloading articles are free of charge. The journal does not charge authors any fee for submitting, reviewing or publishing articles. Registration is required to submit articles, review or take part in editorial work.

Users guarantee that the information they provide is accurate and up to date, and undertake not to use the website for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe the rights of third parties and, in particular, not to:

  • disseminate unlawful, offensive content or content contrary to public order;
  • introduce viruses or take any action that may damage, disrupt or overload the website or its systems;
  • attempt to access other users’ accounts or restricted areas;
  • impersonate another person or submit work over which they do not hold the necessary rights;
  • use the contact details published on the website to send unsolicited commercial communications.

5. User accounts

Registered users (authors, reviewers and editorial team members) are responsible for keeping their credentials safe and confidential and must inform the journal of any unauthorised use of their account. The journal may suspend or cancel, without prior notice, any account used in breach of this legal notice or of the journal’s editorial and ethical policies.

6. Intellectual property

Articles published in the journal are open access. Authors retain copyright and articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), which allows them to be shared and adapted for any purpose, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original source.

The design of the website, the logo and name of the journal and of ISAK, and the texts of the information pages are the property of ISAK, and their use beyond citation or linking requires prior permission. The website uses Open Journal Systems, free software developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) under the GNU GPL licence. Third-party trademarks and logos appearing on the website belong to their respective owners.

7. Links

Linking to the website or to any of its articles is freely permitted and does not imply any relationship with ISAK or endorsement of the content of the linking site. Links to external sites (e.g. DOI, ORCID or databases) are provided for information purposes, and the journal is not responsible for their content or policies.

8. Disclaimer and liability

Articles are published after double-blind peer review. Their content, data and opinions are the sole responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the position of the journal or of ISAK. The content is intended for scientific and information purposes and does not constitute medical, health or nutritional diagnosis, prescription or advice.

To the extent permitted by law, ISAK accepts no liability for damage arising from the unavailability of the website, errors or omissions in its content, malicious elements beyond its control or the use users make of the content. ISAK may modify the content of the website without prior notice.

9. Privacy and cookies

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy policy and the use of cookies by the Cookie policy.

10. Reporting unlawful activities

If a user or third party considers that any content on the website is unlawful or infringes third-party rights, they may report it to info@isak.global, identifying themselves and stating the content concerned and the reasons. Concerns about the integrity of published articles will be handled in accordance with the journal’s ethics policies.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. If any provision is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in force. For any dispute, where the user acts in a professional capacity, the parties submit to the Courts of Murcia (Spain). Where the user is a consumer, the courts determined by the applicable legislation shall have jurisdiction.
