1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that a website stores in the user’s browser to remember information about their visit, such as an active login session or the selected language.
2. Cookies used on this website
The website of the International Journal of Kinanthropometry, owned by ISAK, only uses first-party technical cookies that are necessary for it to work:
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| OJSSID | First-party, technical | Keeps registered users logged in and protects forms against fraudulent use. | Session |
| currentLocale | First-party, technical (preference) | Remembers the selected language (English or Spanish). | Session |
The website does not use analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, and does not include tracking tools or social media plugins. Article usage statistics are calculated on the server itself, anonymously and without cookies.
3. Legal basis
These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSICE), as they are strictly necessary to provide the service requested by the user. For this reason, the website does not display a cookie consent banner.
4. Links to third-party sites
Articles and pages contain links to external services (e.g. doi.org, ORCID, Crossref or Creative Commons). When following these links, the cookie policies of those sites apply.
5. How to manage cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings: Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. If you block the session cookie, you will still be able to read articles, but you will not be able to log in, submit or review.
6. Changes to this policy
If non-technical cookies (e.g. analytics) are added in the future, this policy will be updated and users’ consent will be requested beforehand. For any questions, please write to info@isak.global.
